In October 2023, Professor Khaled El-Enany visited the headquarters of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO in Tunisia. In a productive dialogue with ALECSO’s Director-General, he explored the perspectives and priorities of the Arab region in relation to UNESCO’s mandate.

As League of Arab States candidate for the post of UNESCO Director-General, Professor El-Enany underscored the importance of ensuring that all regions contribute meaningfully to advancing UNESCO’s mission. He emphasized the need for stronger collaboration across diverse cultural and regional perspectives to address global challenges in education, culture, and science.
